The Beginning

Welcome to my production blog for the next nine months of my thoroughly exciting life as an animator! We recently pitched an idea for a short film for our final BA HONS that if green lit would then be made over the next nine months as a small group; having pitched my idea, which unfortunately wasent accepted i have now joined up in another group to work on a fellow classmates idea...

I am part of group of six; each of us taking a key role in the project. I have undertaken the role of Modeler and rigging & weighting, which comes under the artists category. As there is only one human character and a cat in the film it was decided that it would be more beneficial for me to do both modeling and rigging as there is only one character to rig for the film. I also feel most comfortable in modeling although i feel i have something to offer when it comes to being able to rig and weight the one character. The film "Aztec Escape" is about a jungle explorer in search of a sacred artifact hidden deep within the south American jungles. This may seem like any other jungle adventure but there is a twist at the end, which we hope will differ it from other similar films. Comedy plays a large part of the film and we intend to get a few laughs from our work along the way with subtle references to games and films past.

I will be posting up any work and progress made on the production and therefore will update the blog on a weekly basis. Enjoy!
